The Town of Halifax, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from General Contractors for the Repair and Replacement of Doors, Windows, and Siding of the Halifax Elementary School, 464 Plymouth Street (Project 2018-SchoolRepair) in Halifax, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by Habeeb and Associates dated December 13, 2017
The Project consists of:
Repair and Replacement of Doors, Windows, and Siding
The work is estimated to cost $2,600,000 (including all alternates).
Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 ß44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 ßß26 to 27H inclusive.
General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work ñ General Building Construction and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime Update Statement (Form CQ 3).
General Bids will be received until January 8, 2018 at 4:00pm and publicly opened, forthwith online.
Filed Sub-bids for the trades listed below will be received until December 29, 2017 at 4:00pm and publicly opened, forthwith online.
Filed sub-bidders must be DCAMM certified for the trades listed below and bidders must include a current DCAMM Sub-Bidder Certificate of Eligibility and a signed DCAMM Sub-Bidderís Update Statement.
Section 09 900 Painting
All Bids should be submitted electronically online at www.biddocsonline.com and received no later than the date and time specified above.
General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates), and made payable to the Town of Halifax, Massachusetts.

There is a plan deposit of $50 per set payable to BidDocs Online Inc.
Deposits may be electronically paid or must be a check. This deposit will be refunded for up to two sets for general bidders and for one set for sub-bidders upon return of the sets in good condition within thirty days of receipt of general bids. Otherwise the deposit shall be the property of the Awarding Authority.
Additional sets may be purchased for $50.
Bidders requesting Contract Documents to be mailed to them shall include a separate check for $40.00 per set for UPS Ground (or $65.00 per set for UPS overnight), payable to BidDocs ONLINE, Inc., to cover mail handling costs.
The Pre-Bid Conference and site visit will be on December 19, 2017 at 11:00am at Halifax Elementary School, 464 Plymouth Street, Halifax, MA 02338.

Alum Pumping Facility for
West Monponsett Pond
The Town Administrator for the Town of Halifax, Massachusetts on behalf of the Board of Selectmen is soliciting responses for the Alum Pump Facility for West Monponsett Pond. The overall services sought under this RFP are the professional engineering services associated with the design, permitting and construction administration of a low-dose alum pump facility located on the town owned property on the western shore of West Monponsett Pond.
The Town of Halifax has received an appropriation through the MassDEP 319 Nonpoint Source Pollution Grant Program to secure the services as requested in this Request for Proposal (RFP). The goal of this RFP is to identify the Respondent who can best complete the work as outlined in these documents. An 18 month contract commencing January, 2018 is being offered for completing the full scope of work. This RFP and contract work is contingent upon the approval of the appropriation of funds for this project by the Board of Selectmen.
This solicitation is being conducted in accordance with the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30B, and all contracts must be strictly awarded in accordance with the requirements of the Request for Proposal. The Town has no discretion under the law to consider proposals that fail to comply with those requirements, except for minor informalities as permitted by MGL Chapter 30B Section 5(f). If it becomes necessary to revise any part of this RFP or otherwise provide additional information, an addendum will be issued to all prospective proposers who received copies of the original request.
