West Monponsett Pond Algae Treatment - June 1
The first of the three aluminum sulfate treatments for West Monponsett Pond, scheduled for this spring and summer, to try to reduce the amount of nutrients available for the algae in West Monponsett Pond, will be conducted on Wednesday, June 1.

The area around West Monponsett Pond will be "postered" on Tuesday, May 30.

These treatments do not affect the Town's drinking water. The Town does not use Monponsett Pond as a water supply. The orange posters and information are specific about not using the POND for drinking water.

Pond visitors should not use Pond water to drink, cook, boat, fish, swim, or for livestock on Wednesday, June 1 and Thursday, June 2.

If you have any questions about these programs, please contact the Halifax Selectmen's Office at 781-294-1316.
