The Halifax Fireworks Committee will hold a Family Fun Day from 11am to 3pm on Saturday, July 1 on the Town Hall Green. There will be Bike Decorating contests, games, music, Baby contests, make your own Tie Dye Shirts, food, and much more. The Halifax Fireworks Committee will hold evening events including the annual fireworks display from 6pm to 9pm on Saturday, July 1 at the Halifax Elementary School. If you are interested in volunteering for this event, please e-mail Theresa Levenson. Facebook event

Afternoon activities - $10 bracelet includes all activities and a shirt for the Tie-Dye station

11:00am to 3:00pm - Activities - Lucky Duck, Corn Hole toss, Sack Races, Egg and Spoon Races, Can Jam, Craft Tables, Hula Hoops, Bounce Houses, Face Paiting

11:00am to 3:00pm - Food - Grille 58 and Jools Fried Dough

11:00am to 3:00pm - DJ - FastLane Entertainment

11:00am to 3:00pm - Create your own Tie Dye Shirt

Noon to 2:00pm - "The Organic Farm" featuring goats, bunnies, ducks, mini-donkey, turkey and more

Noon to 12:30pm - Bicycle decorating and contest parade - Decorate your pike and bring it with you to Family Fun Day. Enter the Bicycle Decorating Contest and join the Bike Parade. Judges will be looking for the most Patriotic, Creative, Colorful, Funny and Uniquely decorated bikes! The Bike Parade begins at 12:15pm.

Noon to 1:00pm - Patriotic Cake Contest - We are looking for Patriotic Cakes this year. To enter the contest, bring your cake to the Big Green test on the Town Green before noon. Make sure to leave your name on the cake. Each cake will be assigned a number. The cakes will be on display between noon and 1:00pm. The judges are the viewers! All viewers will be asked to vote for which cake they feel is the most Patriotic. The winner will be announced at 1:15pm.

1:30pm - Pie Eating Contest - Test your ability to eat a whipped cream pie faster than the person beside you. Each contestant will get one whipped cream pie. To add a bit of challenge, your hands must stay behind your back. The first person to finish their pie wins! We will have 3 contests according to age. The first group will be 5-7, second group 8-12, and the third group will be 13-16 years old.

2:00pm to 2:30pm - Patriotic Baby Contest - Call all babies ages 0 to 2 years old. Everyone is a winner in this contest...we are looking for the most patriotic, colorful, cutest, lovable, biggest smile, best name it, they all win! To enter, please sign up at the Halifax Fireworks booth by 1:45pm.

3:00pm - Afternoon activities end

6:00pm to 9:00pm - Food Vendors - Grille 58, Burt's Ice Cream, Jools Fried Dough, Mike's House of Pizza

9:00pm - a spectacular fireworks display brought to you by American Thunder
